Discusses the widespread "serious" soil erosion that could be expected across the Darling Downs following heavy rains and flooding in some parts. Toowoomba Department of Primary Industry soil conservation officers are still assessing the damage but said soil losses of 25 tonnes per hectare were anticipated.
