Summary
Discusses a proposed tax scheme to support conservation work by the National Farmers' Federation (NFF). In the proposal, those farmers who did not earn enough to pay tax in one year could access a tax credit for the conservation work in next year they are eligible to pay tax. A virtually identical scheme was proposed by the Western Australian Farmers' Federation (WAFF), who suggested a 30 percent credit, whereas the NFF proposes a 40 percent credit.
