WISALTS column - What's in a name?
(1989) WISALTS column - What's in a name? Elders Weekly, 21 September 1989. p. 69 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
A call for input on a potential name change for the society. Committee members raised the idea that farmers may be hesitant to engage because of the name, if they don't currently have salt scald, they assume WISALTS is not for them. Assurances are given to potential society members that the work of WISALTS has always been to control surface and sub-surface water flow, with salt scald treatment a side effect of the water control.
