Prominent American soil scientist and internationally recognised export in dry land agriculture, Dr Al Black, Director of the Northern Great Plains Research Centre in Mandan, North Dakota travelled to the USSR, Western Australia and Canada to study and help initiate research procedures for erosion, crop production and salinity problems.
