(1989) Protection for Ribbons of Green. Elders Weekly, 24 August 1989. p. 6 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Celebrates the planting efforts along the Great Eastern Highway by members of Ribbons of Green. Alcoa donated the trees, which were then planted by volunteers along hundreds of kilometres of the highway. The trees were supported by Gro-Cones, UV protected growth supports designed to breakdown after they are no longer needed by the established trees. The cones are produced by the James family of Broomehill.
