"Fences won't stop salt"

Lloyd, D. (1989) "Fences won't stop salt". Elders Weekly, 20 July 1989. p. 34 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

Newspaper article by David Lloyd.

Looks at the 'total land care and water control' strategy implemented by the Batchelor family on their Broomehill property. Investing in strategic tree planting, fencing and WISALTS interceptor bank systems throughout the property, the family has managed to arrest the degradation of their land and even increase production. Their approach has been so successful, land conservation districts point to their property as an example.
