Harris, A. (1989) The greenhouse paradox. The West Australian : Big Weekend Supplement, 27 May 1989. p. 1 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Newspaper article by Alex Harris.
A criticism of the Australian Government's response to the greenhouse effect. The Government pledged to form a greenhouse coordinating committee to steer a national environmental response, but also committed to several environmentally disastrous industry projects, like the construction of two power stations. Conservationists face the battle of a globally coordinated approach to the greenhouse effect which is not a popular suggestion amongst industrialists.
This article contains a colour sketch of factory chimneys spewing smoke into the sky.
