Positive action on soil problem

(1989) Positive action on soil problem. Elders Weekly, 13 April 1989. p. 41 [Publication] [Special Collections]

The Western Australian Farmers Federation (WAFF) highlight some of the positive steps taken against salinity. Responding to an article focusing on the dire situation of land degradation, the WAFF remind readers that the model of land conservation district committees enshrined in the Land Conservation Act 1982 (WA) has been adopted nationwide.

The WAFF propose other initiatives to support the district committees, such as increased fencing grants and raising the profile of the State Soil Conservation Advisory Committee.
