McKimmie, M. (1990) Baandee's last crop takes to the pitch. The West Australian, 10 December 1990. p. 3 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

Newspaper article by Marnie McKimmie.

To commemorate the permanent closure of the North Baandee school, the final cohort of students and former school principal, Bernie Giles, played one last game of cricket on the schools cricket pitch. The pitch had been abandoned in the middle of a barley field for some time due to the decreasing number of students over the years.

This article contains two images of Bernie Giles with the final cohort of North Baandee school students on the abandoned cricket pitch.
