Summary
A pilot project is being conducted by Ross George, a Department of Agriculture research officer at Charley Hyde's property near Dalwallinu. The project is testing drainage of wheatbelt valley salt land, cutting channels and depositing lines of perforated drainage pipe, using a D9 bulldozer and a four wheel drive tractor. The project will allow effectiveness and costs to be estimated.
This article contains four images of Ross George and Tom Cameron, Managing Director of Goldfields Contracting using heavy equipment to cut channels and lay pipework.
