Summary

The security of water supplies is a vital concern for farmers in the drier regions. A programme in the Western Australian wheatbelt shows that with some careful planning, you can drastically lower the risks.

This article contains eight photographs of earthworks on various properties. It also contains an on-farm water supply plan for the property of M, P & G Westlund in Kulja and a table of drought-proofing examples.
