WISALTS column
(1984) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 13 September 1984. p. 8 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Discusses how the Whittington Interceptor Bank System can be compared to the saying "the proof of the pudding is in the eating", where there is no scientific proof from any source but it may still be true. Eminent US scientists have inspected WISALTS banks and agree they do a great job controlling surface and subsurface water and throughflows as well but have no proof why. A demonstration of the banks can be seen on the open day at the trial site on the property of Dan Keast in Dangin on 18 September 1984.
