Summary

Land degradation continues unabated in Western Australia's agricultural areas according to a recent Western Australian government working party report. Department of Agriculture hydrologist, Steve West has resigned from the department, pointing out the need for both the finance and staff numbers to make a determined assault on salt encroachment.
