Pasture topping is a long term plan
(1990) Pasture topping is a long term plan. Elders Weekly, 23 August 1990. p. 20 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Peter Abramowski, Agronomist for Elders Pastoral, argues pasture topping is an often overlooked aspect of farm planning. Mr Abramowski explains how the Monsanto "shuttle", a self-contained deployable herbicide sprayer has been embraced by farmers. One of the key benefits is that the shuttle is returned to Monsanto to be cleaned, refilled and redeployed rather than the conventional method of herbicide delivery which raises concerns about chemical container disposal.
