A promotion for the Fifth Australian Soil Conservation Conference to be held 21-23 March 1990 at the Hyatt Regency, Perth, Western Australia.

Discusses the subject of tree management as one of 10 workshops to be held at the Conference. The Western Australian Government's decision to back mass tree planting as a flagship strategy in combating soil degradation, indicated by their support of treefarms by several companies and conservation societies. In addition to conservation, the trees represent a replenishment of timber supplies and a source of potential income for landowners.
