Sheep deaths figure masked says WAFF
Wilson, K. (1990) Sheep deaths figure masked says WAFF. Elders Weekly, 25 January 1990. p. 3 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Newspaper article by Ken Wilson.
The Western Australian Farmers Federation (WAFF) criticised an inadequate reporting system for obscuring the number of livestock deaths and failing to identify key risk areas. The WAFF successfully passed motions for additional funding and support from the Agriculture Department to measure the impact of annual ryegrass toxicity (ARGT), a contributing factor to livestock losses.
