Summary

Richard Godwin, Professor of Agricultural Engineering and Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Food Production and Rural Land Use at Silcoe College in the UK, explains the lack of drainage and waste management infrastructure in Australia is a clear cause of the disastrous environmental crisis. Professor Godwin compares Australia's Wheatbelt to areas of comparable agricultural production in the US and UK and discusses some of the environmental waste management solutions that have been effective in increasing yield per hectare.
