Summary

Harry Whittington was recognised in the 1992 Queen's Birthday honours list, receiving an Order of Australia medal (OAM) for his contributions to Australian landcare. This article outlines some of Harry's key achievements, namely being a founding of member of WISALTS, instrumental in the formation of the Land Management Society in 1985 and the development of the Whittington interceptor bank. It names some of Harry's rural Western Australian peers who were also awarded OAMs.
