Summary
Interview with Lord Fenner Brockway by John Clements, recorded in the House of the Lords, London, England.
Tape 1 - Lord Brockway was born in India, where he lived until the age of 4. He talks about his religious views, including his experiences being raised by nonconformist missionaries. He discusses his education, including his disdain for school and frequent caning and talks about his introduction to politics.
Tape 2 - Lord Brockway reflects on his associations with many influential writers, such as Bernard Shaw, H.G. Wells and George Orwell to name a few. He discusses imperialism and its centrality to international politics.
