Interview with Jack Cooper by John Clements, recorded in Christchurch, England.

Jack Cooper talks about the early days and formation of the BBC.

Jack shares anecdotes from recording the Children's Hour with Percy Edgar at 5IT (BBC's Birmingham station) in 1922.

He joined the BBC's London station on 23 June 1923 and worked at Savoy Hill, the first broadcasting site of the BBC. Jack explains the BBC engineers' role in adapting the existing technology to improve the quality of broadcast for the company.
