John Clements talks about his early life and arriving in Western Australia. As a child, John had ambitions of becoming a farmer. He discusses his early education and fascination with Australian culture as an adult. He recalls the journey over to Australia, arriving on 2 January 1929. John shares his experiences adjusting to life in Australia.
Tape 4 - John Clements talks about the bombing of Hiroshima and the growth of the Peace movement in Australia.
Tape 1 was recorded 19 December 1977. Tape 2 was recorded 15 December 1977. Tape 3 was recorded 12 September 1980. Tape 4 was recorded on an unknown date.
