Interview with Phyllis Wild by John Clements, recorded in Applecross, Western Australia.
Phyllis Wild talks about her involvement with children's literacy and her attempts to establish a childrens' lending library in South Perth. She recalls her work with the Children's Book Council, meetings with Arthur Watts (Country Party MP) regarding the passing of the Library Act in Western Australia, the Statewide library scheme, the Library referendum in favour of establishing a library in South Perth, the Ali Sharr award and general library history and development in Western Australia.
