Summary

Interview with Ric Throssell by John Clements.

John Clements speaks to Ric Throssell, Katharine Susannah Prichard's son, on the centenary of her birth.

Ric recalls the return of his father, Hugo Throssell, from World War 1 who was awarded with a Victoria Cross for gallantry in Gallipoli and his tragic suicide. He discusses Katharine's involvement in the peace movement and all her major works in print (at the time).

This recording has been captured from a 6NR radio broadcast and includes the song No Man's Land by Eric Bogle. It concludes with Katharine Susannah Prichard, aged 80, reading one of her short stories.

This sound recording is part of the John Clements Oral History Collection.
