Summary

Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by I (Ian) Gilmour.

Comments: Notes (1) Rainfall 14 inches. (2) The use of a level bank may be dangerous and cause waterlogging above bank plus a influx of salty water if source of major throughflows, i.e. to other lakes are not addressed with a similar system to the one we have here. (3) The area above bank in heavy ground will need banks in future to stop shedding in that area. (4) For lake to be reclaimed completely the area below this key bank will need controlling. (5) Approximate cost of system will be - Jim and Bob Cornall $5,000 and Harris' $3,500. (6) 9 inch pipe will have to be used on vehicle passes and road crossings.
