Summary

Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by A (Alan) Nicholson.

Comments: Annual rainfall is 25 inches. Dotted lines are existing banks. (A) Sand pipes in clay to 5 or 6 feet, may need to plastic sheet after two seasons, block either side. (B) Line above overloads into sand and intercepted in next. (C) Clay above well not sealable, water intercepted in line below well. Blocks are to allow overflow below ground level and to be constructed between good clay and clay containing small sand pipes. Access points are marked in paddock. Clay generally about 2 inches deep. All wet areas in paddocks have had their sources intercepted.
