Property of R (Rod) and E (Elizabeth) Nicholson, Moorine Rock, Western Australia, Australia - 016. [Document] [Special Collections]
Summary
Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by HS (Harry) Whittington.
Comments: (E) Existing banks constructed 1981, approximately 6 kilometres. This property has a broad floor — a potential salt scald — lost potential production. The property can control most of the water coming in on the west and south side with grade lines. Level banks on the eastern slope will retain all the rain that falls on them. The grade bank along the south road empties into a creek which enters Nicholson's property from the west and flows across the north west corner of his property and crosses Range Road, flows through some more timber and then onto Stewart Nicholson's. The creekway will have to be cleared of timber and silt. A culvert on the road will have to be enlarged to prevent a build-up of water on Rod Nicholson's property. Level banks have 4.5 metre vertical spacing.
