Summary

Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by G (Greg) Matthews.

Comments: Extensive use of plastic sheeting to ensure proper sealing of all banks so the water cannot end up in the sunken area. Also it is essential to seal the drain from the edge of the property to the culvert as the water is flowing behind the existing drains back into the sunken area until it builds up enough to build up and flow out to the culvert. In this project permission was obtained from the neighbour to put a drain through his property to the culvert, therefore cutting the water off from the sunken area completely allowing this area to dry out. Around the static scald it has been changed from a level to a grade bank as the level bank is leaking which will aggravate the situation. Some banks have been changed to properly herringbone the system. Also another bank has been added between A and B because the area between these banks is too great for proper control.
