Summary
An average slope on this hill at Three Springs has had considerable run off after clearing - resulting in the erosion of "valuable top-soil" with a consequent loss of production. Inconvenient working and is an eyesore no farmer could be proud of. Recent 1 push banks on the slope are of some help but they are not designed for wet winters. Due to a mixing of topsoil and subsoil some have broken their banks - thus allowing moisture to seep through resulting in down slope erosion. There is considerable knowledge and skill required in planning an effective and safe conservation design for cleared agricultural land.
