Summary

Avon Location 5781. The upper slope above Avon Location 19910. Looking at some of the early attempts to halt the movement of water from the upper slopes with pasture furrows and single push absorption banks. After the first 2.5 millimetres of rain they had to be re-built. They slowed the movement of water, but didn't do anything to stop the waterlogging of the lower ground of Avon Location 19910 (middle of the photo). A better and more positive approach had to be introduced.
