Summary

Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by JD (Jim) McGregor.

Comments: Proposed work in dotted lines, thoughflows shaded. Bank A is level in 2 parts. B level with open end to old bank. C is grade bank to main drain down valley as is in fairly deep sand (still to be checked with backhoe). D level with open end, draining to E which joins an existing grade bank. F is graded into dam and grade line G picks up the overflow and takes it around to the main creek line. H is a grade line into a dam and crosses a long shallow valley. Most backhoe holes indicate good clay at 2 to 2.5 feet and most throughflows approximately 3 feet.

Review Comments: Work in 1989 on this block was one short bank in deep sand. It was surveyed where possible on the barriers then 1 push with dozer, then sealed entire length with polysheet.
