Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by BJ (Crash) Edwards.

Comments: This is an addition to earlier work done in 1979 to 1980. The two bottom banks, number 4 and number 5 in the salt area were done in 1979 and were not very deep and after a short period were not very effective. Also the neighbour Wilkinson wouldn't agree to a proper sealed flyover where number 3 went through the fence. Instead a small piece of 5 inch bore casing was buried. The new work is planned to take water away from number 3 and cut off throughflow coming though fence on north boundary. Area on north east end of number 4 has become static and hence salt is spreading east up the hill.
