Summary

1987 Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science (ANZAAS)-Hamersley Iron Laboratory Experience Scheme scholarship winner, Year 11 student Rosemary Preston from Perth College, conducting experiments recovering gold using activated carbon. Supervised by Dr Steve La Brooy, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Murdoch University and Dr Jim Avraamides, WA Government Chemical Laboratories.
