Summary

Inspecting problems behind a leaking early constructed bank. The line of the scald area indicates the path of the throughflow, which is obvious in the pit; the other side of the pit is dry and out of the influence of the throughflow. This shows how accurate the diving rod is in finding the lateral movement of water through the soil.

Left to Right: Alan Reynolds, Lyndon Henning and Harry Whittington.
