Summary

The property was suffering from loss of water on the upper slopes and valleys were becoming waterlogged and saline. Production was being lost on the upper slopes as well as in the valleys. It was necessary to hold as much of the rain where it fell and allow the excess rainfall to be taken to the river through a well planned system, leaving all the nutrients in the paddocks and only removing the excess fresh rain water. The property has responded very well, increasing production and reducing the cost of inputs.
