An evaluation of British battleships and aircraft carriers constructed in the inter-war period: A multi-dimensional approach
Kilpa, Zoran (1990) An evaluation of British battleships and aircraft carriers constructed in the inter-war period: A multi-dimensional approach. Honours thesis, Murdoch University.
Abstract
This dissertation looks at the development of all British battleships and aircraft carriers constructed between 1920-1939.
A multi-dimensional approach has been adopted which examines why these ships were designed the way they were, what cost was involved in their construction and how these ships related to British maritime strategy.
Special thanks is given to Frank Broeze (UWA) whom I was privileged to study under for two years, and Murdoch University for the encouragement they gave me to undertake a non-mainstream topic.
