Abstract
One of the major aims of the study, and the focus of this report, was to provide the first ever spatial assessment of the threat that instream barriers pose to Balston’s Pygmy Perch by investigating three catchments within the South West Linkages Target Area. Specifically, this component of the study aimed to identify and prioritise barriers for potential remedial works (e.g. fishway construction or decommissioning) to mitigate impacts on Balston’s Pygmy Perch and other south-western Australian endemic fishes.
