Abstract
The article presents research on the acute metabolic responses to high-load resistance exercise in different hypoxic conditions and the impact of hypoxia on muscle activation magnitude during resistance exercise. Results of the study indicate the capability of systemic hypoxia in moderate-load resistance exercise to boost metabolic responses and the up-regulation of hypertrophy and muscular strength due to intermittent hypoxic resistance training (IHRT).
