Abstract
Born total ionization cross section was calculated by an algebraic computing program using Maple. The atomic orbitals were approximated by Hartree-Fock Slater functions, and the ejected electron was modeled by a hydrogenic Coulomb wave. The numerical integrations were performed using FORTRAN by automatically converting the analytic matrix element for each orbital into a FORTRAN subroutine.
