Abstract
Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 have taken place in 15 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa since 2003, and have caused great economic losses. Much likelihood has been considered as risk factors, of which wild birds are attributed as one of the main factors. This is related to the environmental deterioration in the wetland and expanse of human's activities in production. The risk analysis in this paper only focused on the effect of wild birds to HPAI, and confirmed the high risk of wild birds in the spread of AIVs.
