Wang, H., Xia, F.ORCID: 0000-0002-4950-3640, Zeng, H-D, Zhang, X-H, Gu, Z-A and Chen, G-R (2007) γ-ray irradiation induced multiple effects on Ge-As-Se chalcogenide glasses. Journal of East China University of Science and Technology (Natural Science Edition), 33 (2). pp. 211-214.

γ-Ray irradiation induced multiple effects on properties of bulk Ge-As-Se chalcogenide glasses were studied. Density (ρ), thermal expansion coefficient (α) and optical band gap (E opt ) of samples changed after irradiation, depending on glass compositions. Glasses with stoichiometric compositions showed linear correlations between As 2 Se 3 proportion and irradiation sensitivity while nonstoichiometric glasses exhibited irregular variations. The phenomena were discussed in terms of chemical bonds transition and structural evolution under γ-ray irradiation. These results show the future of selenium-based chalcogenide glass applied as dosimetric material.
