Abstract

A computer-based technique is described for the acquisition, spatio-temporal mapping and dipole modelling of epileptic spike events. Spike acquisition is operator-controlled and subsequent data processing is performed off-line. Preliminary averaging and topographical study of wave forms provide complementary information on the spike. The method promises to be a useful adjunct to conventional EEG in spike analysis.
