Abstract
The effects of β1 and β2-adrenergic agonists on increasing skeletal muscle protein deposition and/or reducing fat deposition in animals have been well documented. Much less is known about the effects of atypical β3-agonists in growing animals. However, they appear to have high degree of selectively for stimulating thermogenesis and have been implicated as potential anti-obesity agents (1). The aim of this study was to examine the effect of chronic administration of a β3-agonist on growth and body composition of lambs.
