Abstract
Some anomalies in the published data from the experiments of GERETY & SLINGERLAND (1983) concerning the distribution of particles above a surface composed of a mixture of mineral types in a wind-tunnel are pointed out, and it is shown that they may be removed by classifying particles by terminal velocity rather than by diameter and by treating the aerosol as a whole rather than considering each mineral type.
