Abstract

This chapter presents an interactive role-playing case study focused on finding solutions to a difficult public waste-water management problem in a pristine area of south-western Australia. The case focuses on the issue of 'process sustainability', and attempts to lead students to an understanding that good public decisions should be sustainable from both a 'content' and 'process' perspective. The case involves assigning roles to both students and instructor, and can take anywhere from 50 minutes to 2 hours to run.
