Abstract

A general algorithm for minimum emission dispatch based on a simulated annealing approach is reported in this paper. In the algorithm, pollutants such as particulate, SO 2 and NOx are considered. The developed algorithm is applied to two test systems for the validation and evaluation of its performance. The test results demonstrate the ability of the algorithm to find the global or near-global solutions for the minimum emission dispatch problem.
