Abstract
Parliamentary traditions nurtured at Westminster, even the most respected of them, have not always survived transportation overseas. The legislature s o f Canada, Australia and New Zealand - to go no further than those members of the Commonwealth classed by Mr. Menzies as the "Crown Dominions " - in a century of self government have modified not a few of the practices and attitude s taken for granted in the British House of Commons .
