Abstract
The latest and most ambitious Free Financial Zone in the United Emirates is the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC). The DIFC was set up in 2004. It has its own courts and judicial system. It also has its own arbitration law. The DIFC arbitration law is in a process of review. A Model Law instrument is expected late in 2008. It is intended to explain some of the provisions of the current DIFC arbitration law and to assist those using it.
