Abstract
From it's humble beginnings in 1998, the Zanzibar International Film Festival has evolved into a respected and world renown cultural force. This academic and pictorial account traces the first ten years of one of East Africa's most prominent arts festivals, The ZIFF Festival of the Dhow Countries. Exploring the historical, cultural, social and economic aspects of this annual event, 10 Years of ZIFF Festival of the Dhow Countries is a celebration of the rise and success of cultural tourism and artisitic development in East Africa.
