Abstract
In the short space allocated to this reply I will only offer some clarifications of Bailey's reading of my 'Getting of Sexuality' paper because, on the whole, I think Bailey's alternative synthesis of Foucault and Garfinkel on sexuality is interesting and should be pursued further. Moreover, as I will show, our positions can end up as complementary once these initial clarifications are worked through.
