    Abstract

Murdoch University and Motherwell Automation have just begun a new relationship. For the first year Motherwell has selected students in their final year of engineering study to complete an internship program alongside their highly experienced staff. This program is based in Motherwell's Karara office in Osborne Park. During the work placement, the intern has been given certain projects and work with the company as a systems engineer, completing comparable jobs to a graduate engineer. This provides the intern with invaluable experience in the engineering field which helps with the intern's growth in both professional and personal matters. This Report affirms the benefit of the internship program at Motherwell Automation and describes the experience given which provides an excellent base for the graduate's future engineering career.
